We transform disposable glass into practical glassware!

Visit our Glass Works to see our production methods and the exhibition. We also have a shop where you can purchase from a large selection. Both firsts and seconds. Gallery with displays by different artists and occasional cultural events.

We are a small Glass Works with a few employees, and we all believe that small scale production is important in the recycling society of the future. Our workplace is democratic, with equal pay for all employees and we give high priority to environmental work, both locally and globally. With our new recycling techniqe we have no need of the energy demanding, costly and complicated glass-melting furnaces that need to be kept heated 24 hours a day. This gives a double environmental gain: we save a lot of energy and recycle old, non-returnable glass. Our vision is that, with the help of educational establishments, people will take up our methods. In that way, they can learn how to make their own drinking glasses, vases and carafes.

Recycling an appropriate raw material
Our products have been examined by the TEM Foundation at Lund University which carries out research and development including environmental suitability of products and production processes. Their environmental judgment of our glass production was: "Suitable raw material - collected non-returnable, disposable glass - is being recycled. Only one quarter of the energy is used during the re-shaping of the glass compared with the production of new glass. Since the process is simply a transformation of heated glass there are no discharges of harmful chemical reagents of the sort employed in glass melting. Chemicals are only used in the preparation treatment, eg washing the glass, but consist of environmentally adapted washing fluid".

Meeting our customers' requirements
We fulfil many special orders meeting our customers' requirements - call us and we may be able to find exactly your favourite bottle in our large bottle store, containing about 40 000 bottles. You can also bring your own bottle for re-shaping. If you want, we can even glue back the original label to the finished product using water-resistant glue which will stand a careful handwash. Should you require infused company logos or other permanent decorations that can be machine-washed we have decals in up to 4 colours. Slightly more expensive alternatives are sand blasting and hand engraving.
